I agree with decriminalisation, but that's a stupid argument. People are murdering anyway, so why make them criminals?
Give 'im a break, he was probably high when he said it.
It's not a stupid argument unless you reduce it to false equivalencies as the commenter did here. The difference between murder and cannabis possession/sale should be obvious. Murder has always been a crime. But cannabis was legal in the United States for 200 years -- until the early 1900's when states began passing laws against it.
So yes, government took a plant that was naturally growing and turned it into a crime -- turning people who used that plant into criminals.
